Salties and Pikesters, and maybe bassers, and maybe Beer drinking Bass hunters.

Just got through with my first set of new design roosterfish poppers and they're
about three feet long and take about 10 hours to tie. I sell them for $50 each.
I'm sure all of you will want at least one to hang on your wall.

Byard agreed to post a photo. Roosters like a lot of surface commotion and when I fall out of the boat, it's hilarious seeing all those Rooster fish congregate around me wanting to learn how to take a fly from the master salt guy. They love movement, too, but I don't move too much whilst I'm in the water because I'm afraid of the sharks.  I hope these do the trick. For those who are not familiar with roosterfish, I beli
ve they are a member of the jack family, but have top dorsal fins like a lionfish and they roar just like a lion when hooked. They vivid black curved bars on the sides. Reminds me of the bars in my cell at the Pen. They are tremendous fighters even on heavy tackle, even with a 20' 22 wt fly rod.

Also show a couple of needlefish. The poppers are made from 1" dia. foam. This works well for catch and release. When the needlefish hit, you just jerk and the foam comes apart really quick, before the fish gets hooked. You c an count it as a catch anyway though, because of the needle marks left on the foam.
stock.
