Absolutely the coolest. I can check with my electrical suppliers for it, who
knows may be able to get it at cost for you. Let me do some more
investigating, do you have a name brand or manufacture ? I bet they would
make some awesome Walleye flies.

That material is "Flex-o", a braided, expandable tubing.
Designed for covering electrical cables, it is tough and long-lasting, but
extremely light..
I comes in sizes ranging from 1/8" up to 3" wide. The 1/8" will expand up
to
about 1/2" dia. and the 3" up to about 7 or 8". All kinds of colors and
metallics -gold and
silver. On my website, the bass, tuna, marlin, and dorado are all made of
flex-o. The small
braided tubings that you can buy in flyshops are very similar, but Flex-o is
many times
more expandable.
As soon as I have my fly company up and running full bore, I'll have flex-o
baitfish patterns
for sale. I'll post another picture for you of just Flex-o patterns.
