Chris, to taper the worms, hold them for a few seconds (using a hemostat or
clamp so as not to burn your fingers) with the end in the flame of a Bic (or
other brand) lighter. Move the chenille a bit through the flame and it will
taper nicely. I dip it in water that I have at the bench when I do this. If
you have a hair burning tool, this also works well to taper the end. Joyce
