I am, I am.
Actually, the person who is president of you Chamber of Commerce, Bob
Hatch, is going to our reunion. I have known him since I was 10 years
old. Not sure I will tell you how many years that has been.
Do you have any ideas about fishing off Jalama or some other point?
Care to join us if the timing is right for the both of us.
I used to fish a lot off the oil derricks in the Channel Islands.
Barracuda, kelp bass and a few mackerels for the smoker.
Gert

Well, first we are a bunch of old timers looking for a great time
fishing the local criks. We party hardy and have a good time. We have
a driver who will take us around so we do not need to worry about
driving and that is a good thing.

I hope to fly in to Redding on Aug 5 where an old grammar school friend
will pick me up. I will be staying with them for the entire trip.

Aug 6 - 8 we will be on the local criks, Pit, Hat and McCloud. You are
welcome to join us. I can send addresses and phone number if you are
interested.

Aug 9, we are driving to Santa Barbara where we will visit with old
friends.

Aug 10-11, I am in the Santa Ynez Valley for a multi-year class reunion.
I am not sure when we will return north. When we do get back to Mt
Shasta, I hope to fish the upper Sacramento and the Eel.

It has been a great year for fishing. Several years ago, I had several
rods and reels stolen from my garage and subsequently, I lost some
interest in the sport. As luck will have it sometimes, I did manage to
get a Sage rod with a Billy Pate Trout Reel and an Orvis Trident with a
Charlton reel returned. The Sage was found locally, the Orvis was flown
back and had delivered from Argentina. So you never know.

Anyway, the blood boils for bigger and better and this year proven to be
such a year.

Hope to hear from you,

Gert
