Picric Acid Shrimp

This fly is tied backwards, with the tail of the fly at
the eye of the hook
Hook Partridge Salmon 4 � 10 Single hook, Double hook
or Treble hook or as a Tube fly.
Thread Uni 6/0 - to match body colour.
Feelers 6 or 8 Hen pheasant tail fibres dyed in picric acid
�as long as hook�
Eyes Black Glass Beads on 10 pound nylon
Body Olive wool, 3 or 4 ply
Hackle Grizzle dyed in picric acid, three spaced turns over
thorax but under back.
Back Olive wool, two pieces pulled back over body -
DO NOT TRIM OFF ENDS
Rib Fine oval gold, over rear two thirds of fly only to
form back segments.
Tail Ends of wool that you didn�t trim off when tying in
back of fly angled up over eye of hook
Variations Purple wool, Hot Orange wool, Picric Acid dyed
seals fur with bunch of picric acid dyed hen pheasant
tail fibres to form back and tail of shrimp.
you aint going to cancel surgery to prepare the returns ?....

Yep that is the number. So... what have you tyed for us? Have received 2
sets so far. I am think of tying a Haas pattern or one of my own creation,
not sure yet. Haven't had a drop out yet. Get this the due date is the
same day that I am having surgery on.
