About a 2 weeks ago i questioned the list about the White River CV2 fly reel. Well, nobody out there knew anytinhg about the reel. I bought one and i am VERY impressed. The reel was 119 (got mine cheaper, friend of sporting goods store owner that carries some white river stuff) The drag is real smoothe and the line pickup is good. The reel is pretty light too and machined aluminium. I have no connections with white river but i must say that i do like the reel. If you guys are looking into getting into Large arbor but dont watn to spend a an arm and a leg try one out. You may not be as impressed as i am but i will say that im trusting it for an attempt on hybrid stripers in the 20+ inch range. Anyone out there do a lot of fishing for hybrid stripers? (for those who dont know they are the hybrid between the panfish white bass, maxing out in the 3-4 lb range and the saltwater/freshwater striped bass maxing out in the 60lbs. the average hybrid is 4-8 lbs in our lake but fight like much better than a smallmouth of equal size) Got any good patterns?
