Just for the sake of throwing another opinion into the hat�
After three years of almost daily use, I�m really happy with the screw-tightened jaws on my Renzetti Presentation vise. Having used the Thompson A with its cam for 20 years previous, it seems that the screw tightening design provides a lot more control. Adjusting for hook sizes takes about half-a-second, and the clamping force is great. Even if the cam was a no-cost option, I�d stick with this setup.
