Make sure you have a good tight base of tying thread or floss on the
hook shank. Also try tying a strip of mono to the sides of the hook
shank. This will help prevent twist and will also give you fly bodies a
flater apperance similar to a natural nymph. George Grant of Montana
wrote two excellant books The Master Fly Weaver and Montana Trout Flies.
A lot of useful info and history in these titles. Hope this is of some
