Morning folks,
Long day yesterday. I was up and running early to cut fields, am headed
that way here shortly. While I was starting the second field Patsy showed up
and flagged me down, ( They own the farm), she said that Theresa had called
and that Amanda was headed into surgery. Being in the middle of a field I
couldn't just stop so I had to finish it, it was the longest time to get
that one done. As soon as I was done I headed for the hospital. Amanda was
still in surgery when I arrived. They went in with a "Scope" and said that
the cyst was not a concern but that her Appendix was inflamed and irritated
on the end of it. It appeared as if it was the source of the problem and was
quieting down a bit. They went ahead and removed her Appendix and was out of
the operating room a bit after 2. She was real groggy and didn't fully awake
until late in the evening. Every time she woke up we got her to drink some
more fluids and eat a bit more Jell-O. I left there late, around 9 or so and
got home to shower and get a bit of rest. She is not a real happy camper and
is very sore. The main thing she wants is to come home but understands that
she needs to get her strength back as well as feel a bit better before she
can be released. As soon as I finish today I will call and get an update
and head for town with whatever I have to take this trip.
Thank you everyone for the prayers and we will keep you informed.
Jimi, Theresa and Amanda
