Jimmy, a possible solution for your drowned camera dilema that works for me is a waterproof disposable camera. 27 35mm shots in a waterproof housing good to 30' depth. Small enough and light enough to fit in a vest pocket. No flash though. Only problem is that I have to stay out until I land 27 fish so as to get film developed asap. Wifey understands as she is a thrifty Hollander and doesn't approve of me wasting anything unnecessarily. It's ASA 400 fillm so usually no flash is needed. Giv it a try.
