Congrats, Alan.  A 9 pound 4 1/2 ounce boy is big even by Texas standards.  And Jack Mitchell be able to say what a lot of people would like to be able to say, but can't, and that's  "I was born in Texas!"

Cheers, and don't forget to call me when you  get time.  I'm just 30 miles north and would love to buy you a cup of coffee and chat a little    Phone: 254/751-1285.

My best to your daughter and son-in-law and of course to Jack!

Well I am a grandpa for the 6th. time tonight.
My youngest just had her first child and a real Texas sized one at that.
Jack Mitchell weighted in at 9-4 1/2 oz. (OUCH!!!) at 10:28 Temple, Tx. time.
The father is doing fine, and the mother is tired of being in the hospital all day and wants to go home.
Looks like my wife and I will be going there Sept 21 thru 29.
