Some of you may remember awhile back, that I posted a couple of questions
about wading jackets. Well, I finally made my purchase. I opted for the
Cabela's Dry Plus wading jacket (size 3xl). It arrived yesterday -- and
immediately I was impressed with all of the features of the jacket.
However, the fit was HORRIBLE. The jacket looked like a regular xl, not an
xxxl. So I called Cabela's and inquired about the size. They apologized
and I sent it back. I was curious if the jacket came in a Tall. However,
after checking it did not. So, with that, I decided to spend the extra $$$
and get the Cabela's Goretex Wading jacket in 3xl-tall.

It arrived this morning. The fit is considerably different -- i really
don't think the 3xl i got in the Dry Plus was the right size, as this one is
ALOT bigger in the chest. But I am sort of disappointed, as the Dry Plus
Jacket had NICER features (including a back pocket (maybe to hold a net???),
but the Gortex jacket does not have that feature. The Goretex jacket is
noticeably heavier than the dry-plus jacket though -- so perhaps better in
cold weather. The Neoprene cuffs in both jackets look like they will server
a purpose well. And the hood does not appear to be that obtrusive. I will
let you all know how it field tests, when I get out in the rain.
