The river that forms Burrels Ford is the Chattooga River in NC. It is about 1 3/4 - 2 hours from me.
Actually it is spelled Chatuge, but no reason to split hairs. What I suggest you do is go to your local book store and look for a copy of Trout Streams of Southern Appalachia by Jimmy Jacobs. This is a very good book giving brief descriptions of various river systems in Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Also there are directions and maps included as well as fishing pressure, not a bad buy at $17.00. You may want to consider a used book store as well.
