[VFB] Renzetti problem

I bought a Renzetti Traveler about 17 months ago, the other day I noticed that there is some rust forming on the back and side of the jaws. BTW my warranty ran out on it, so has anyone had this problem or any suggestions on how to fix it myself before it gets out of hand.
