There is  a book called Trolling Flies for Trout and Salmon, deals mainly
with streamer patterns that were designed for very long shank hooks or
tandem hooks. Seems they were and still are used to troll on the lakes of
New England.  I sure would hate to cast a Gray Ghost tied on tandem hooks,
