Chris-
Trust me, i totally understand your point. However, people are misunderstanding my interests. I truly am not in it to make a profit, actively am participating in swaps, and love to tie. I just want to share my flies with others on another level, without considering myself a "commercial" tier. Any money gained in this, and you can take this to the bank, would be spent on, of course, useless fishing stuff that i want real bad when walking through my local tackle shop but somehow never use (oh come on people we all do it :-]), or fly tying supplies. Some people dont get it i guess. I am, however, disappointed with the responses of certain people. I dont like being insulted, and will be expressing this in my attempts to see if theres anything VBF can do to punish these offenders. I also express my disappointment with the people accusing eddie of advertising, and think that these certain people owe him, as well as me, an apology.

I hope that those involved in this heated discussion aren't offended (very
much). I think that alot of the shrapnel generated by the original post can
be explained thusly (and this is for your benefit, Jack...no offense (not
much anyway.)

Many of us here in the VFB have commercial interest in fly tying and fly
fishing (some of us even depend on it to help make ends meet.) There is an
unwritten code among gentlemen/gentlewomen here that we don't advertise for
commercial gain on Byard's list. He also depends on this commerce for his
bread and butter...so out of respect and appreciation for what he does....we
don't advertise.

From time to time people do sell used things here...and that's ok. In
general, however, it is a joy to trade items (flies) with others.

Chris
