Thanks for an interesting, informative and
enlightening post. From talking to the owner of the
LFS (local fly shop), I know that he would prefer to
stock only US tied flies and if possible ones tied by
local tiers, however this is pretty much economically
and competitively impossible.
Still wondering how much other anglers in the US and
other countries pay for flies at retail. If flies in
Joyce's neck of the woods sell for $.79 each, I may
have to take a drive over there and stock up. <G>
BTW, didn't include the text of your post, since I
thought it might exceed the limit if I did. Thanks
again for a quick overview of some of the ins and outs
of the trade.
