Ladies & Gents:

I am almost at the point of unsubscribing because of all the bickering going on. This is not so much a fly tying list anymore. I have blocked messages from Bart, Jack and Eddie. As far as I'm concerned, Bart's comment was totally unacceptable, but he can't bring himself to apologize. This is a guy who has just run a successful materials swap. It doesn't make much sense. There are almost more discussions about recipes for extra hot chili and the list owner has forbidden swap info. So where are we going with this list? Downhill?????

Swap postings are NOT forbidden...what IS forbidden is any more discussion of the Jack / Bart debacle...;^)

Concerning swap postings...

...Announcements are fine
...A few follow-up postings to gather the necessary participants are fine
...Kudos about a swap completion are fine

What isn't fine are...

...postings to the list to acknowledge that someone is accepted in a swap
...postings to the list that someone's flies have arrived
...postings to the list that someone's flies are late
...postings to the list that no flies were received today
...etc

These types of communication are only pertinent to the individual swappers and are of no interest to the list in general. They should be communicated only to the swappers...not the list.

This was the intent of my original message concerning this topic...perhaps you misunderstood my meaning.
