In the US, I'd choose Flytying and Fishing journal. In the UK I'd choose
Flyfishing and Flytying. They are both great with regards to new flies and
techniques to use to tie them. I believe the Flytying and fishing journal is
quarterly and the UK magazine, a bit pricey but often available at the
Barnes and Noble bookstore here, is now monthly. If I could have only two,
these would be the ones. I also enjoy American Angler, Flyfishing,
Midwestflyfishing, Fish and Fly and Canadian Flyfisher (this is one
beautiful magazine but not so many actual flies). Hope this helps. Joyce
