John,

I was on their tier's list for a couple of years and really liked
their hooks. BUT, they were saltwater size 6 to 4/0. I really
liked the gap and angle. VERY effective at hooking fish.

I touched up the points out of habit and 'cause I would mash the hook.
Truthfully, they did not need it. Cannot comment on the small sizes, but
imagine the quality was the same.

Subject: [VFB] Varivas Hooks

Hey All-

Does anyone on the list use Varivas hooks? I was at
the local shop yesterday and was given a sample pack
of 5 hooks, size 14 dry. They look pretty nice, real
light fine wire, Limerick bend, with a down eye at
just a slight angle and a wide gape, real sharp point.
I tested one to destruction (heck, they were free) and
it deformed quite a bit before I could break it by
wiggling it back and forth.

Just curious if anyone uses them and what their
experiences have been.

Thanks.
