JIMMY,

i remember that conversation, thought it worthy at the time. I would agree that sometimes it's abit much to host for 2 hours....thought if the group in the Cahtroom is going good on a great topic, the 2 hours would fly by quickly. I support that idea of 1 hour sessions for hosts, unless they wish to keep at it for 2 hours. Things are fairly stable for me right now & I'm thinking of picking up a Host session soon...

Byard, & The List,

About a week ago, you, me and several others were in the chat room
discussing how to get more members to man the "chat sessions". Several
ideas were kicked around, but nothing ever came of it.

I have a suggestion. Instead of asking members to host a 2 hour
session, why not ask them to host a 1 hour session. Two hours is a long
time to tie yourself up when you have family, flies that need tying and
other stuff to do. I'm sure that several of us would volunteer to host
a 1 hour session. I'll be glad to do that, and will begin by hosting
from 10-11 p.m CST tomorrow night.

As you know, once a session starts, people come and go. The chat can
continue even though the 1 hour host has to depart. The host can simply
say, "guys, I need to get some stuff done", or he/she can stay on if
they're not going to be busy.

I remember a couple of times when I was hosting the late, late 2 hour
session, that most people had left way before the ending time, but I
hung around because I was the host and didn't want an empty chat room to
show during my time slot.

Just a suggestion.

JIMMY
