[VFB] another deer hair question

good morning everyone,   I'm sure this was already answered but I wasn't paying attention at the time if it was (as usual). Is the borax used in treating deer hair and feathers the same that they use to cure salmon eggs? The only Borax I've been able to find is labeled fishermen's borax. I have some deer hair and some pheasant skins and want to make sure I use the right stuff.   Thanks in advance   Jim Burbank    "Troutman"
