Hey Guys, I may be speaking only for myself, but I'd sure read a lot more of the stuff that's been flying by these days if I didn't have to keep hitting the "Open in Browser" button about sixty percent of the time, seems like. The first guy -- either from honest ignorance or a momentary lack of consideration -- sends a message in html and then all those lemmings poised on the edge of conversation hit "Reply" and then just letter fly (pun intended), so that out of ego and laziness the original breach of decorum is perpetuated. It's not so much that I mind reading twaddle; after almost forty years of teaching English my tolerance for twaddle is pretty high, God help me. It's only that I could exercise my right to "Just hit Delete" much faster if I didn't have to open so many a message twice in order to confirm that it's merely more twaddle rather than a possible gem of wisdom from one of the relatively few Wise Ones among us.
And let's not let this turn into a thread. No one's opinion will be changed and it's not the right place to discuss it anyway. Keep the twaddle coming (your First Amendment right to be boring is safe with me), but if you want it to have been read in this quarter, at least, send it out in plain text. Please? Feeling grumpy on a cold grey day in Montana, DanW
