Jimi Just a little info that might be of intrest to you. The orginal company was started in 1857 and closed shop sometime in the late 50s or early 60s. They were built in Montague City, MA. Most of their rods were wrapped by housewifes working for extra cash and were done in their homes. The bottle type ferrule was their last style the used. Your rod is at least 30+ years old, and lacking any knowledge of its care...I would hang it on the wall after redoing it. Repairing a shattered cane rod is not for the faint of heart.
