Matt: IMHO a secondhand used Hardy reel is much more pleasureable to use and own, than a new Okuma. I like the sound of a click and pawl reel, especially when a fish is taking line. Disk drags reels are fine for heavy fish and saltwater.
I was wondering if any of you can offer reviews/opinions on Okuma fly reels. I am looking for a 5wt reel and am considering an Okuma -- specifically the Airstream, Integreity, or Magnitude reels. Does anyone fish with these reels?
