I must thank everyone who responded to my dilemma's on tying dry flies.
Tying the hackle in at the "butt" has allowed me to improve considerably. I
have been practicing with a "Quill" bodied "Pacos River Scatter", ( a local
fly) and have gotten to the point where they are very close to matching each
other, "AND" I am tying them in size 16 and 18. Checking the hackles as
described has helped and each one is improving.

Now I will continue on them and also start working on an imitation of the
"Chocolate" brown mayfly we caught today, ( Any ideas as to what it may be
folks ?) The tail had 3 separate and distinct "Tails" and it was a very dark
brown, almost black.

Anyway, I wanted to say thanks and am continuing to work at improving.
Jimi
