I am in full agreement with Neville on this one. Renzetti Traveller with the screw tightened jaws and no complaints from me yet. I do fantasise about the Law vice that many top tiers are using. But the cost is prohibative and I am not sure any advantages are worth it. So for now I'll keep tying on my old trusty Renzetti. All the best Graeme.

That must have been the year that the Inex first came out. I Paid $45 for it brand new. I have had no problems with hooks flying out, but it does not hold smaller hooks as well as it does larger ones. I therefore use it for Salmon and steelhead flies and I use it for tying tube flies with one of those Kennebec River tube holders. Most of my tying is now done with a Renzetti traveller (being a limey/canadian I spell it with two LLs). My traveller is the earlier design with the screw to tighten the jaws. I don't have any problem or difficulty with this at all and have never felt the need to convert to the lever action jaws. My 2 cents worth..............Neville Gosling, Greater Vancouver, B.C. Subject: Re: [VFB] vise advice please It would appear from the reviews of the Regal vise that if you don't set the hooks properly into the vise when you release the pressure on the clamp the hook will be propelled in a rather speedy fashion across the room. It can also chip the vise.... Needless to say this would turn into a dangerous weapon in my hands. Maybe someone out there has had some experience with this....
