Just a quick note.
As all the swappers know, the books are finally done. Nothing like a June
1st original completion date.
Now this monkey is off my back, I feel I can now post to the list without
guilt.

Since this is my first swap, I would like to give other swap meisters some
advice:

1) Keep it simple - this swap resulted in a nice Velo bound 62 page
compilation of short stories, with color plates showing the flies, people
and fishing locations.
2) Do not host a swap if your wife is pregnant and it is your first child.
3) Make sure that international shipments are sent insured or US sent
certified if there money >$10 is being sent.
4) Do not think that you can still fish throughout the year unabated by swap
commitments
5) Do not think that taking pictures of flies size 16 and smaller is simple
with a 2.1 megapixel digital camera
6) And most importantly - unless you want to collate every page manually
(UGH!), layout the document in a way that collating pages is simple.

I learned a lot on what and what not to do. Because the final work captures
the essence of fly fishing, I am still planning on a Volume 2 sometime in
the near future...

Thanks.

Chris
