A friend wants to make a fly mobile for his girlfriend's son. The son's been
fascinated since he saw my last year's Christmas ornament. I put a red white
and blue clouser minnow in a clear bulb I got at the craft store. The kid
still wants to know how I got it in there.
Would it be a faux pas to not fish with these flies, and let my friend
memorialize them in a work of, well, art?

And thanks for letting me in on this. I tie mostly for Ozark smallmouth, and
mostly for quantity not quality. I want to be able to adorn a root wad with
a half dozen flies, and still have a handful to take to the next spot
downstream.
