Ever consider contacting the NFL for licensing rights and selling them? You might be able to get around the copyright issues by mimicing team colors and calling them "football flies", but it wouldn't have the same appeal. Great potential for product line expansion - TN Titan crankbaits, Vikings muskie plugs, Cowboys Zara Spooks, Bears trolling spoons, etc. If nothing else, it's a pretty cool gift idea!

In all seriousness , the first version I tied for Jime was in the shape of the raider sheild. If you looked at it from the top the middle point was at the hook eye. I was not , however, please with how it looked. I have tied balsa poppers and painted them silver , then put a blue lions sticker (that I painstakingly cut out myself with an xacto knife) on to the side, like a hlemet. Then epoxy the whole thing.
