Yep...it's true...and all in his vest...along with at least a
six-pack of Lord Chesterfield...;^)
I've watched Murf searching his vest pockets looking for a
Trico...pulling out Striper flies...Bass poppers...winter Steelhead
flies...and...;^))
I'm a former boyscout Byard. Ever hear of "be prepared"? Of course there was the time I danced and fell with trout on the Breeches and had to air out all my fly boxes. Dances was there and told me I would fall and I told him I knew that but preferred to fall towards the bank I was headed. Wisdom-
1-You can never have enough flys
2-You must tie streamside as the flys you will need will not be in your vest
3-Warm beer is okay when the trout are "on"
4-Cigars need not be Cuban if the gnats are bad
5-Keep extra beer in the cooler (or the extra hip boots in the trunk)
6-Don't bet Byard on who will catch more (the man's a fishing machine)
7-Howard catches more than Byard (so don't put money on anybody)
8-Murf fishes flys that he likes and not always the ones the trout like (thus the Lord Chesterfield Ale)
still freaking tyin Byard,
Murf
