I use the llama wool for various flies, wets, nymphs, and tightly dubbed bodies on dry flies. The silver stuff is something I use like tinsel. It comes from the inside of ECG cables. If you pull one of the plastic ends off you can separate the seven strands that make up the 'wire'. I've used the strands for normal ribbing jobs singly or more if I want. I also use them for bodies and for some streamers, I might use all the strands on a body. If I want very fine, I take one of the strands and separate it into five smaller pieces. I've colored them at times with permanent markers. I like to find unique materials and use them in my tying.
I think that there may be fellow Material Swappers who wonder about using these materials.
