Talked to a friend today at a Christmas party. She had seen a copy of my "Art of Angling Journal" on a table at my mom's wake. She thought it was a wonderful publication and tore out one of the order forms from the back of the magazine, she wanted to order it for her two son's.
Well, I had told her that there were three issues of the magazine and she could order them online. She is not into the internet and decided to call the phone number on the order form. She got Paul Schmookler on the line when she called. They proceeded to have an extended conversation in which she got a good portion of Paul's life history out of him and was charmed by their conversation. When she saw me she could hardly wait to tell me all she had learned and was excited in anticipation of her son's receiving the magazine. Just reinforces the posts from earlier in the week about how down to earth people in the fly fishing business are. JoeL
