Good news folks,
I found out today that Theresa and I may be able to by the property
along the road, actually it would extend our property to the paved road.
This means we can put in the store, "The only Store" in Lakewood. It would
be the first store in the town since about 1956. We plan on carrying the
staples, ( bread, pop, snacks etc.) and have sandwiches and a small grill
for breakfast and lunch items as well as fishing and camping supplies. I
will also incorporate a museum into it as it will look exactly like the
original buildings here in the late 1860 to 1920 era. Wood bar and all. I
also found out that we may be able to get a building that was built in the
1910 to 20's just to move it.
We are "PUMPED", we will get all the details worked out by the first
week of January and should know about the building about then as well. Then
it only means we have to find a way to come up with the $2000 to make it
happen. I will do all the clearing and leveling with my "Antique" tools and
sweet equity. Still a lot of things to figure out but it is the best news we
have had in months, maybe it is our turn to have a chance at getting ahead
???? Now to think of an appropriate name to put on the store.... Maybe "
Lakewood Mercantile" ??
