Rick, please refer to a couple of previous posts. The question wasn't natural-vs-sythetic or anything like that, it had more to do with the appearance of the flies in question. To me they look like lures and not flies and yeah, all flies are lures since they're manmade, but not all lures are flies,in my opinion, even if the making of them incorporates some flytying techniques.. As far as DonO's creations, they are flies and excellent examples of the tyer's craft as well as being works of true artistry.
