Ken Here on the East Coast the Squamish Poacher is called Lester The Lobster. Is tied same as shown on the link from Joyce.
Only changes that I make are to use goat hair for the tail and the orange plastic from kids floats for the shell back. I find that the tape too thin (used to be thicker but was changed a few years ago.) For the rib I use a length of orange mono cord tied in at same time as the chenille. The rib is wrapped as last item from hook bend to eye and over the shell. The mono eyes can be made as 1 piece. Cut mono to a length ( will vary depending on hook size you use ) hold in center with pliers and melt both ends using a candle. Drop in a dish of water to cool. Use the area of the candle flame that will produce a bit of smoke as the carbon will give make the eyes nice and black. Don't hold the mono in the flame but rather pass it back a forth through the flame. If the mono gets too hot you will get bubbles or it will burn. Harmen
