About a week or week-and-a-half ago I posted a question about some steelhead/salmon flies I had seen on the Salmonfly.Net site. The flies were done by a gentleman from Sweden named Petru Dimas. Hans suggested I contact Mr Dimas directly to ask if he was planning to publish any articles on the technique and someone on the list also expressed an interest in his reply, so here goes.

Apparently he's not planning on publishing anything soon, but said he would let me know if he does. His note was very cordial and very brief and didn't include any info on the techinque. So...Hans, since you took pix of some of his flies, do you have any tips or insights on how they were done? Inquiring minds, etc. If anyone else on the list is familiar with these flies or has seen the technique used in some other craft or hobby, any help or ideas would be appreciated. Apparently Mr Dimas saw the technique or something very similar used somewhere else and adapted it to his flies.

Thanks in advance.
