Done and the Prayer chains are moving. Please keep us posted.

Normally I don't send off topic stuff but any additional prayers
that these families (the victims and the accused) could get
would be appreciated. As Kevin reminds us hug your kids and
tell them you love them. (Take them fishing)
What follows is from a prayer e-mail list at my church. The originator
Kevin is in my Sunday School Class and is a good friend.

Original request sent Saturday, December 4
Please pray for my cousin's 17 year old son, Benjamin Vasiliev. Ben
collapsed last night while playing video games at a friends house. He is in
a coma and on a respirator at Johns Hopkins Children's Center. The doctors
suspect severe brain damage. They have found significant amounts of cyanide
in his blood. No one knows how he got this, and he has no past history of
drug use.

Please pray for my cousin, Karen Dale_Barrett, her new husband, Scott
Barrett, and the extended family that is traveling to get here from out of
state. May the Lord guide and comfort them as they work their way through
this tragedy. Thank the Lord that her new husband is a Christian too.

Thanks so much,
Kevin marks

Update January 6, 2003

Please continue to pray for my cousin's son, Benjamin Vasiliev. He has shown
no improvement and they are still flushing cyanide out of his system. There
is a good news bad news situation here. The good news is that we now know
that Ben was not taking drugs. The bad news is that the "friend" that he
was playing video games with poisoned him by putting cyanide in his drink.
The police have overwhelming evidence that this is what occurred and have
arrested the young man. The doctors are saying that Ben has significant
brain damage and only time will tell how much.

Please pray for this troubled boy and his family. His mother is hysterics
trying to come to terms with what her son has done. It seems that her son
has been battling depression for some time, and Ben paid the price. So
parents, take some time right now to hug your children and let them know
that you are there for them. If you don't, there could be an awful price to
pay.

In Christian Love,
Kevin Marks
