It does help Joyce, thanks. I've been considering jumping into this century and upgrading to a digital, but, with so many out there to chose from, I was more than a little confused on where to start. Appreciate the first hand insight.

I would get a 2650 Fuji as it has better state of the art advancements and
will only cost you about 200.00 at many of the purveyors. If you are
planning on taking shots in which you are going to enlarge them a lot, you
may want to consider something that has more than 2 megapixels. Personally,
I'd would recommend the new 3.0 megapixel Minolta DiImage..a great, small
camera with optics that don't stick out so easily carried in your vest
pocket. Or, if you want 2 megapixels, these from Minolta are very cheap
right now..again, about 180 or less depending on where you find them on the
internet. Just got one with a card reader for my sister..in size and
performance, it beats the heck out of the bigger and clumsier ones on the
market.
Now personally, I am using a Nikon 5000 which is really great
resolution for close ups of flies, but a lot more pricey. I have used Judy's
2 megapixel DiImiage and it does an OK job on these as well..and when it
comes to taking it up the canyon for some quick fishing shots..hers is so
easy to carry, no protruding front lens yet the same 3x optical zoom, that
hers is the camera that is first to go with me.
Hope this helps. Joyce
