Rene,
Dennis must drive slower than I do or he must take the "scenic" (read
curvy) route ;>) It takes us around 2 hours from Springfield. My
suggestion is to take Hwy 60 east to Hwy 5. Take Hwy 5 south to
Gainesville, MO. Hwy 5 jogs a little bit west at Gainesville then heads
down to the Arkansas line where it becomes Arkansas Hwy 5 and leads you
right to Mountain Home. Whatever you do, do not take Hwy 160 unless you
have a strong stomach, my boys almost always get sick and it is much slower
this way! Hope this helps.
Looking forward to seeing you there,
Bruce Whittle
