Iain short sent me a buzzer and im familiar with HOW to tie them, to a degree. But where do you get the little circle foam balls for the flies? Or am i thinking of something else?

Graeme.
Sorry mate u picked me up wrong or i explained it wrong, they both, rainbows and brown feed on buzzers in the same way and the takes are the same,i meant they, as in browns and rainbows.. take imitative patterns the same way, especially buzzers, after catching hundreds of trout over the last season on buzzers i think i can vouch for this being true,,

Hi Denis,
I live and fish in Shetland, a well kept secret. The cost of getting here
keeps it isolated. The only fishing is for wild browns and seatrout.
I don't agree that 'browns rainbows stocked or wild all feed the same way.'
We tie up bright orange lures for rainbows on our annual pilgrimage to Loch
Leven. There are not many Shetland trout that are fooled by these flies.
It seems I will need to practice a bit more with the buzzers. Thanks for the
reply Denis you have given me the resolve to keep at it.
All the best
Graeme.

Graeme,
Where do u live and fish mate,,Browns rainbows stocked or wild all feed the
same way and on the same insects, the take is all the same, letn me know
where u are fishing mate, it took me some 3 years along with 3 of my mates
to master this style of fishing and 2 days a week for 3 months during the
time..I sometimes if i could would fish and practice 5 days a week
concentrating on one method..Colours will vary of the pupae but not much,
duckfly is the begining of the real buzzer hatches, but its nothing near the

best of the fishing...
Regards
