Chris, I'm just starting out. My setup is a couple of plastic tupperware containers. One for synthetics, one for natural products.
My 'bench' is a portable wooden TV tray which I clamp my vise to and have a small halogen lamp. I sit on the couch. I have a baking sheet on top of the TV tray where I have all my tying tools and cements. My hooks and threads are in a 24 compartment plastic container. Every time I tie I'm left with a big mess and materials everywhere. Oh well. As I progress I'll get more organized.
