John,  I got about 33 out of one color and 28 out of the other. I too noticed the broken feathers but most were long enough that they were still usable. Just out of curiosity, did anyone notice big differences in how many feathers per cape? The dun was unbelievable, there were well over 30 feathers per pack, while the white only yielded about 24-25 per. Another thing, several of the white hackles were broken short, I culled out the worst ones, but included others since they were still fairly long and had plenty of good hackle left. Most of the broken feathers seem to come from the sides of the skin. The dun had no broken feathers that I noticed and the cape from the previous swap had only two or three.                                                     -John
