Brad,
I'm actually looking at going south of
Anchorage. Towards the Kenai peninsula. Anything you can tell me
about that area. The rivers won't be froze there will they?

hi eric, i lived in ak for 9 years , anch and the mat valley. if your going
in april you better bring an ice auger the rivers will be either still froze
up or just breaking up.if there broke up they will still be high , as of right
now there is very little snow there my brother lives in palmer area and he
says ther is only 6 inches of snow so maybee you will get lucky for some trout
fishing . but it has been verry cold there so who knows , the salmon wont be
running until end of may and 1st of june you can contact ak fish and game for
a salmon run schedule.you may also contact me off list if you want more
info i will be up there for my anual trip in aug for the silvers and the
grayling
