Hi Mark, I am really sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. Apparently, he left some great footprints and that is about all any of us can do.You and your brothers will have many conversations over the years about him and they will all be happy ones. That's the way it is with my brothers. God bless your family and give them the strength to smile or even laugh about those memories real soon......Doyle

Subject: [VFB] Mark D. is back in Louisiana

Late Monday night I found out that my father was very seriously ill due to a heart attack and a fall resulting from the heart attack.  He hit his head severely on the curb of the street causing hemorrages on both sides of his brain.  I managed to catch a plane to southern California early Tuesday.  My father was in a coma and never regained conciousness.  He passed away peacefully on Wednesday.  I was glad to be there with my brothers to support my mother in this difficult time.  My father taught me so many values and skills that I have put to good use all my adult life.  Both my brothers feel the same.  My father, George. will be sorely missed by many.
