Flash flies and silver salmon go together like beer and cheese -- I would also tie some blue smolts (my go to fly), egg sucking leeches in black, purple and white, everglow flies in chartruse, pink, and orange, alaskabous in orange, pink, chartruse and yellow, popsicles,  polar shrimp, comets in various colors (including gold), battle creek special and a flesh fly of some kind (maybe a bunny leech).  If you have any steelhead flies such as a skykomish sunrise or a thor, they will work too.   Where are you fishing?   -Ken- ----- Original Message ----- From: Stu To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Saturday, February 08, 2003 10:37 AM Subject: [VFB] Alaska Silver Salmon Fly Patterns Any Board members have some effective fly patterns they would like to recommend for Silver Salmon.  I just got an invitation to join a group in early September to fish for these guys for the first time.   Thanks in advance,   Stu Booth
