OK Ken, I'm in. I've got to see what Iain's Collie Dog looks like! My pattern is yet to be determined...
Iain, On the sites where I've seen this fly, I've noticed two distinctly different versions of it. Might I ask which one you'd be tyin' Sir?
Tyanna
The steelhead are running -- and the fishing season
for Atlantic salmon is just around the corner -- time to check out some new fly
patterns.
Or if you want to get a look at Iain's collie dog
-- sign up.
Deadline for flies to be received is April
4th.
To ensure a good variety of swappers -- I would
like for you to tie a fly that could be used for either atlantic salmon, pacific
salmon or steelhead.
Many steelhead patterns can trace their roots to
Atlantic salmon flies and now some steelhead flies are making their way east --
e.g some common patterns used for both are general practioner, bomber,
muddler, alexandra, winters hope and mickey finn.
No double hooks please -- and no weighted
flies.
Anyone interested? Many of the swap now
running will soon be over.
Perhaps some people are scared off by the number of
flies they would have to tie -- so I'll restrict it to a dozen
swappers.
