Lifetime?  Heck Doyle, you'll need to tie 1000 just for this spring.  Let's see, average 6 flys per feather times 28 times 6 packs is about right.  So you have a good day and only lose 6 to the trees, 8 to the bushes, 7 to the snags, 5 to bad knots and 6 to fiesty trout.  That might get you to the better hatches but then your friends will start to borrow flys and you'll want to enter a swap and...  As Byard says;  "keep tyin..."
