Let me make the snake fly fishing connection. While fishing on a desert stream last year my brother was on the opposite shore. It was his first trip to this stream and his first time fly fishing. While heading up the trail he had a rattle snake cross just 5' in front of him, he went another couple yards and a second snake went across almost as close as the first one about 20 yards more and yep another one within 10'. He wasn't very thrilled, we had a snake once growing up and a scorpion too, but he didn't appreciate the rattlers in the wild. So just remember when out there this spring and summer keep your eyes and ears open.
