Tie in a strand or two, unwind a couple of inches of thread from the bobbin. Wrap the ( right handed tyer) peacock under the thread and over the thread and back under. Hold the thread and the peacock together and wrap the thread. The peacock will wrap itself around the thread as you wrap. This makes a stronger tie. Hope this helps.
